Jane Suter

Jane has lived in the centre of Saltash since 1989, raising a family in the town whilst working in the public sector and for charities. Jane has seen many changes in the town since 1989 and loves the supportive community spirit in the town.

Jane managed the finances of the largest Housing Association in Plymouth, and volunteers with several community organisations in Saltash. She loves walking and has nearly completed walking the All-England Coast Path, visiting everywhere from Morecambe to Berwick-Upon-Tweed via Lands’ End and Margate. Jane loves to spend time with her two children and their families who live locally.

Jane keeps fit by swimming and yoga and likes to listen to political podcasts whilst walking around Saltash.

Jane enjoyed campaigning during recent Local and General Elections across South East Cornwall and in Plymouth. Jane decided to stand to be a Councillor as she was moved by the issues residents raised with her on the doorstep during the 2024 General Election campaign.

Jane works to ensure the town remains a supportive community as well as helping residents. Since becoming a Saltash Town Councillor in 2025 Jane has been Vice Chair of the Policy and Finance Committee, attended the Health Action Group and joined the Patient Participation Group for Saltash Health Centre.
