Pete Nowlan has been a proud resident of Saltash for over 35 years, where he and his wife have raised two sons who also call the town home. Deeply rooted in the community, Pete has a long history of supporting local events and initiatives.
He has served as a governor at St Stephens Community Primary School for the past 27 years, including over a decade as Chair. His dedication to education and community engagement has driven his commitment to involving young people in local life and supporting schools across Saltash.
Pete is also known for his passion for football and was a long-time volunteer with Saltash Youth Football Club – often spotted running the line on Saturday mornings at Chapel Field.
Professionally, Pete spent over 35 years with BT in Plymouth, specializing in Business Sales and Business Improvement. His commercial experience and people-focused approach bring valuable insight to the work of the Town Council.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, many residents came to know Pete as their friendly Hermes delivery driver – a role he took on to help the community during a difficult time.
In his spare time, he enjoys walking and cycling, making full use of the green spaces and cycle networks that make Saltash such a great place to live.
